We shouldn't have to go over this one, but please be kind to each other. Bullying and line crossing will not be tolerated here. If the mods receive proof that this is happening, no warning will be given - you will be removed, period.

We have provided a list of premade character ideas to help kickstart your character creation! This is just a jumping off point and writers should expand and make the character their own. If you do not see something that fits your character idea, you are more than welcome to submit your own! To do this simply drop a comment to the mods for approval before applying.

Applying is simple, but a little different than other games. Instead of a fully fleshed out bio, we just need the following basics and a short blurb describing their personality. This should be in a post somewhere in your characters journal and linked on your application. The following information is needed:

• Character Name, Date of Birth, and Age
• Profession before landing on the island
• Strengths & weaknesses
• Anyone they were traveling with
• How many bags did they have? What was in them?
• Anything else they might have on their person

sub comms flight271 — all threads and plot posts belong here. you may also post narratives here if you wish. please be kind and don't forget the use of ratings and trigger warnings where appropriate. we highly encourage all members to use the threading community rather than keeping scenes private. we do understand that there may be some scenes that are better left private, but we ask that you keep the mentality of keeping things public whenever possible. this is important to keep things moving in game.

crashedooc — for all things ooc. you can post here to introduce yourself and your character to the other writers, plot, and all other matter of ooc things. we want to promote a friendly atmosphere so don't be afraid to reach out to each other! this is also where you will find the weekly check-in plot post from the mods, and activity check ins.

game timeline we understand that real life comes first and sometimes gets in the way of this little hobby of ours. For the purposes of giving our members ample time to write and not feel pressured, we're tweaking the laws of time here! For the purposes of this game 1 week real time = 1 day. There will be a calendar in the members area that will keep track of what day it is and how long they've been on the island.

updates We all know that games don't live without activity from the members. That is going to be especially true here, since we are relying entirely on threading/scenes to keep the game alive and progressing. That being said we will require every member participate in at least one thread per month. Narratives are welcome and encouraged for character development but will not count towards activity at this time.

It is also important that our members respond to the weekly check in posts, though at this time, it is not a requirement to participate in all of them. The only one we require everyone to participate in is the last one of the month, which is where you'll drop of your activity for the month.

removals Anyone who does not respond to the last check in post of the month and fails to provide proof of activity will be removed. If you've been removed for inactivity, you have one month (which is four-five days in game) to reapply with that same character. After that the character will be presumed missing and may be used as the mods see fit for plot. This means they remain missing or may be killed off entirely.

character limit at this time we are only allowing one character per writer.
